Thanks plant, I appreciate the ongoing encouragement! In fact it would be good for me too, to put these views together into some kind of cogent whole. The forum is great for helping me see the kinds of objections people come up with, but they also force a lot of covering the same ground over and over! I am indeed a professional physicist/astronomer, with definite amateur philosopher leanings.
Thanks Plant, I appreciate the encouragement! I do want to write such a book one day, but more practical matters must come first.
I tend to be a bit on the corny side, to the regret of some. Some years ago, contrary to counless depictions, I showed why the Sun is not a yellow star and why it is likely just a plain white one, and coined the term for the field for studying the Sun's color - heliochromology. [Asterchromology for star color.]
Whenever I can toss a subtle lick in for heliochromology, I often do so just for fun. I probably should throw something more profound in my signature to freshen things up a bit.
...hmm...just sayin' hi!
