BOUlder coloRAdo boulder COlorad BOUlder colRAdo...

(sung to the tune of Gary Indiana from The Music Man)

I went to Boulder on Thursday, home of a couple of us!

Good times - did a little work, made a good income, and stopped for lunch at the Whole Foods there on Pearl - what an amazing place! Bought a garlic and artichoke pizza, and just finished it last night. Mmm....! Just finished their very oniony guac this morning!

    Pic Link.

Boulder's a great place. Lived and worked there for a fairly short while, then lured spinward by another job. Loved hiking up and around the Flatirons.

Colorado Springs was a nice place to visit when work took me there. Certainly a different vibe than Boulder (insert political viewpoints here).

    Boulder is excellent.

I might be a bit biased though.

Yeah, no kidding, and I probably travelled within a mile of you after nearly 2 hrs of driving...

Come out of hiding, young man!

Worked on a research grant, at NCAR Mesa Laboratory. Up in the foothills, designed by I. M. Pei, featured in Woody Allen's Sleeper, Cray supercomputers on display, urban deer at the entrance--groups of tourists strolled through regularly.

Entirely possible, since you came last Thursday. Now though, I'm quite far from Boulder. It's spring break, so I'm in DC with my family. I already spent something like 8 hours in the Smithsonian Air and Space museum (and I haven't even been to the Udvar-Hazy center yet).

If you were on campus or Pearl St., you were within 2 miles of me.

Made three trips to Boulder in 2008 to support a NASA project involving Ball Aerospace. Had lunch with the BA on Pearl St. Mall during one of them.
Everything I need to know I learned through Googling.

Sweet! We Coloradans come out of our hiding at last.

Well, mostly. The green-eared guy is a displaced Coloradan.

cjl - enjoy the museum! I spent many a weekend there when I lived in NOVA.
