And I proceeded to make the dessert with the corn OIL, and only then realized my mistake.

Years ago at work, one of the women brought in some cookies she had made. They were diet cookies to begin with, and she made them with baking soda instead of baking powder. She admitted they weren't very good. I took a tiny nibble of one of them and they tasted exactly as I imagine wallboard would taste. I spit it out. There was one fellow who would eat just about anything; I think he ate a single cookie.

"humans in white dwarf era" - Is this going to be a racist thread, or only insulting to little people? If you doubt this is possible, how is it there are PYGMIES + DWARFS ??

"Ethics of Immortality," which I keep reading as "The Ethics of Immorality."

Information about American English usage here and here. Floating point issues? Please read this before posting.

How do things fly? This explains it all.

Speaker at ISDC gala: "We want to thank all of our sponsors, including (several names), the Highland Trust, (several names)..."

Me, thinking: "The Highland Trust? Must be some Scottish land-preservation sort of thing. But why in particular would they sponsor a space conference?"

On the frontpage: Newly Found Asteroid Buzzes... ... I was wondering what that background noise was!

ETA: and just now... I KNOW what this thread is about. I've READ it, several times. But still "Eclipse "projection" question" pops into my head as a question about projects in the Eclipse integrated development environment.

I keep seeing "What time is it?" instead of "What is time?".

I do read "Missing Members" correctly, but think it means something entirely different and gruesome.

I've misread "Venus Transit Previews for 44 Cities" as "Kill them all and burn BAUT down, now".

S band weapon against Apollo HB's

Another one I read correctly, but have a different interpretation of; this is a CT that the Apollo astronauts used their S-Band transmitter as some sort of weapon, probably against Moon monsters. Apparently it is also effective against HBers.
