    CosmoQuest Give Away

The build team has been way too quiet lately, and we know it. Thing is, we totally under estimated the effect that moving into a new building would have on our functionality.

And we failed to realize just how much less space we were going to have.

If you want to read the whole story, check out Pamela's blog post. Short version is: We've got too much stuff and we'd love to give some of it to you. We're going to post pictures of the stuff we have to give away below. If you'd like something, leave a note in the thread. Now here is the catch, we don't want the whole internet diving in and saying "gimme gimme." In order to get some of our free stuff, you need to have either done 100 (and for heavy items 1000) image classifications, OR you need to be an Established member of the forum (and for heavy items a Senior Member or higher).

These items are open to anyone, but if you are international and want to help with postage, we'd adore you, but mostly we just want to give you stuff. Pamela found some US stamps while cleaning her house over Christmas (Forever stamps are awesome) and we're going to use those up for now.

We will select who gets what on Feb 1, so if you're desperate to get something, go do some science :-)

(Feb 1 also gives us time to find everything we really need to give away!)

Here is our first image of things we're giving away: We have 5 size XL 3 large T-shirts (Hanes Beefy T's) that we got at SXSW. They've never been worn, and we're not quite sure why they haven't been given away yet... Here's your chance. Open to anyone who is a Senior Member or higher of the Forum OR who has 1000 images classified. (Updated 2/24)

Tomorrow, Pamela will be going through this bin and several like it to sort out what all we have and to post photos. These items (or sets of them) will be available for classifiers of 100 images / Established members of the forum.

See the first post for information on this giveaway. Here I'll be categorizing and listing all the SCHWAG you can get.

    Here are the categories:

1000/Senior: at least 1000 images OR Senior Member or higher - you can claim one of these items

100/Established: at least 100 images OR Established Member or higher - you can claim these items as follows:
Pick 1 - you get one
Pick 2 - pick any two of the items in this category (can be same or different)
Pick 3 - pick any three of the items in this category (can be same or different)

If more than one is available, I'll also be letting you know how many of each thing we have under "Qty."
Click the images to see a larger version, or go check out the whole album on Google+: https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/+...94889865745329

Remember, we'll be choosing the order of winners by random number generator after February first, but you can let us know yours preferences now if you really have your eye on something. Thanks, good luck, and get to science-ing!

And for that matter, no goodies for kilopians?

The postdoc is rather expensive. She needs to pay rent, after all.

As I understand it, kilopians = senior members, in that it's same # of posts? Which made me LOL when I FINALLY figured it out...

Simon and I would like the Solar System Jr. trading cards, for when he gets older and can learn more than "that sound means the kitty doesn't want to play."

Having worked two stints on James Webb, I'd be happy to take a JWST t-shirt off your hands. (And if you run low on takers I'll take three - I have an uncle and a cousin both named James Webb Parker.)
Everything I need to know I learned through Googling.

Now thats what I call making a personal plea. If it's true... You win.

But; if ToSeek doesn't, or there's any chance for a leftover or if I even have a chance. I'll take one.

I'd be interested in the Meatball pin. And the Compass of Unknown Origin... with a name like that, how can you go wrong.

In addition to treasure, how much experience did I get?
