Looking for original BAUT Forum graphics files

Hey, everyone! CosmoQuest programmers are working on an easier-to-use homepage for CosmoQuest. Part of that means big new graphics for every section of the website. (The layout of the forum pages and most of the site content will not be changed in the upgrade).

Currently, we only have a small, single layer image of the BAUT logo (rectangle with the astronaut and rocket up at top). We're looking to see if anyone here has the originals of that? As in, multi-layer and high resolution?

Reply here if you have it, and/or send to info@cosmoquest.org. Thanks so much!

I found the thread where there was the discussion of the new logo, and this post from Frog March, though I don't think that's high resolution. And here I think is the original posting about it from Doctor Know. Given that Doctor Know was last active in 2007, I'm thinking we won't be able to get a copy from him.

I'm guessing you already have it but I pulled a non-hires, non-multilayer version from the Wayback Machine archive:

I think that's the best we ever got, from Doctor Know. Notice, comparing it to the one in thread, it has a reflection of the boxing gloves; the "bad astronomy" is out of the box; the font is sans serif; and there are footprints leading up to the rocket.

That's a good one. At least it's good size.

I tried to find a copy of the original art just over a year ago,
and was only able to find what you did. The original, full-res
art was posted in the thread discussing it when it was new,
I'm almost certain, but somehow I failed to get a copy of it
and it disappeared from the thread, and the Wayback Machine
didn't have it. I had hoped that someone would know how to
    reach Doctor Know.

I think the one posted by PetersCreek is as high of resolution as any we saw in the creation thread. In that OP, the BA pretty much specified the pixel dimensions to be 600x120.

I doubt Dr Know would still have it in layers, after seven years...

Thanks, everyone! I'll send along what you guys found.

It's amazing what I do and don't keep after 7 years, in terms of files...

I'm late to the star party, but would this help?

    Oh. I can't. Wow.

No, not the banner, but I haven't seen you in ages...well a couple of years anyway. It's so good to see you!

    Welcome back, Selenite!

As for the banner, it's nice to see it again but it has outlived its usefulness. Phil Plait abandoned us years ago, and UT just posts daily headline promoting the site.

    Thanks guys!

Well, I guess the old banner is good for a stirring of nostalgia if nothing more. I should have checked out this part of the forum more often.

I'm afraid I've had to downsize the astronomical commitments in life, but the good memories remain.

God, I miss your illustrations/drawings. Do you have a gallery or site with anything, or are you still only just "doodling" as you feel like it? I think you're very talented.
