I smoked a brisket last Sunday and we picked at leftovers a couple of times during the week. I used the last of it for breakfast this morning to make a hash with potatoes and onions, eggs on the side.

We went out for lunch and I had a quite delicious black bean jalapeno burger, with roasted bell pepper. It was a daily special, which is just as well since even though I enjoyed it it kept sliding apart and was just too much work to eat.

Yesterday I had Chicken "Tenders" and fries for McLunch. Today I microwaved some leftovers of that. It didn't get any better the second time. You could have made long-lasting car tires out of the "chicken".

Im making Frikadelle sandwiches for dinner tonight...sort of the German ancestor of the hamburger. But to have sandwiches, we need bread. So step one was to make pretzel rolls. Pretty.

No more sandwiches for me due to a badly damaged and quite fragile incisor.

Today, we took my wife to Pacifico, where we had a nice prix fixe Mothers' Day meal. She and my daughter had chaulafan; I had salmon.
