We went out to lunch the other day, and brought back leftover sandwiches and French Fries. We then heated the sandwiches and fries, but there were too many fries. I may just dine on leftover fries tonight, it's either that or toss them out. My Mom taught me not to waste food.

    I don't like re-heated fries. Fresh only.

I've discovered that if you reheat them in the oven, they are MUCH better than from the microwave.

Well, I messed than one up. We wound up having packaged pulled chicken on a bun. Halfway through my second helping it occurred to me that I should have heated fries to go with it. D'oh!

I'm still on my soft steamed egg kick. Had one for breakfast with toast, goat's milk Brie, and peppered salami.

I had to look that up. Apparently "beer" is a moderately alcoholic beverage made with malted barley and flavored with hops.

    What?

I haven't got the hops figured out yet, I'll try to do a few.

Fuet is a fermented dry sausage from Spain, usually with a bit of a white moldy outside (same as camembert cheese), or coated with coarsely ground black pepper. Served in very thin slices.

You have, of course, sent me down a VERY deep Wikipedia rabbit hole regarding all things sausage. I'm actually resisting looking up "beer" which would be about as deep.

I smoked three racks of back ribs today. We had a few bones with potato salad and oven-roasted cob corn. Dessert will be a fresh strawberry cake.

OK, trying again. If this is a duplicate, blame WAVE Broadband.

Snyder's of Hanover Pretzel Pieces, Bursting with Flavor! Honey Mustard & Onion Flavored Sourdough Hard Pretzel. I like them way too much.

They've currently got a commercial running in which the Pretzel Lady breaks up the whole ones "for your own good" because they'd have too much flavor if whole. The opposite is of course true, they add the flavoring after breaking so the pieces are much better than whole.

I can't eat them without thinking of my late mother, because the first time I had them someone had put them in the goody bag when I took her for her bi-weekly transfusion.
