    We had Purple Congo potatoes for the first time. They were very nice but I think they might be better mashed rather than steamed.

    Soup and a roll. There is what a call soup in a bag, it has all the dry ingredients in the bag and instructions on them, mom tried on of those, don't which one. Now coffee and a small piece of cake while typing and listing to lord of the rings music.

    I made us hamburgers last night. My wife said "That was really delicious! You can make those any time!" Kind of gave me a warm feeling.

    Probably salt fish hash for supper but all I can smell now is pickled beets being made.
    ETA: salt fish hash is the leftovers of a salt fish dinner, potatoes, pasta, salt cod and salt pork. I think it came from when one of great grandfathers worked at logging camps, but we still have it a couple of times a year.

    Past and cheeeeese. Lots of cheese! But with cottage cheese is also ok! Has anybody tried?

    If you were in Australia, you'd be putting the beets (or "beetroot" as they call it there" on the burger.

    Right now I am trying to figure out what to have for supper, there is hamburger in the fridge, a bbq outside and I could clean a frying pan, temptation.

    We did not have burgers tonight, because we had them the previous two. I can't believe that at age 70 I'm cooking the best burgers of my life, completely differently than I ever have before.
    We've got four buns and and half a sweet onion left on hand. Probably get some ground beef tomorrow. 15% fat seems to do the best.

    I am a few days late in replying as my Internet has been down - but yes you definitely need to add beetroot. A burger is incomplete without a few slices of canned beetroot. Plus a fried egg of course!
