    Yikes! Kitten on the keys!

The kitty just walked across the keyboard on the other laptop (W10) and managed to rotate the whole screen 90 degrees, into portrait mode! How do I turn it back?

ETA: Never mind, Googled it. Ctrl-Alt-Up-arrow.

I didn't even know you could do that.

Right click on the screen, and pick 'screen resolution', or possibly 'display settings' - there should an orientation box available to set it back.
Tossing the kitten into the aquarium DOES NOT WORK!
    although it may be funny.

Because we're sitting in front of it, paying attention to something other than them.

This certainly must be the case. Ferocious has no idea what the mouse is.... or the keyboard. It's something I spend entirely too much time with ( as far as he's concerned ). He has a talent for simply putting down his paw and destroying 15 minutes work .
So.... I took him over to the front door , opened it, encouraged him to go outside for a bit. He sniffed at it, and turned around.
    Nope, not quite now.

Yep; Warm. Must be warm. I had cats who used to ly down underneath an old cast iron kitchen stove. Must have been 150 į under there.
They just stretched out and got a little l-o-n-g-e-r You've seen this ?

We had a large CRT TV on a stand in the corner of our den for several years. Various cats enjoyed lying down on top of the TV precisely because it was warm. When we replaced the CRT with a flat screen, it confounded them mightily. "How the heck am I supposed to lie down on that?"

They have been reduced to taking turns sitting under the table lamp.

One of our cats has repeatedly demonstrated the secret 3-paw keystroke sequence on a Mac which means "ignore all USB ports until reboot". I'm pretty sure he remembers it and does it on purpose.

Maybe a laptop keyboard is warm, but our cats will lay on the keyboard for our desktop. It's not warmth, they just want the attention.

Either that or they used my credit card (again) to sign up for a programming class. I hate it when they do that.

Which has just caused me to wonder: Does Alexa understand "Meow"?

That question sounds like it belongs in the "fun and games" - yes or no topic.

But your question made me wonder; would an American Alexa understand French? Or a French Alexa understand Portugese?

I'd guess you set it up for language when you get it. But I don't know, since pretty much the last thing I want is a box in my house listening to everything I say.

Thanks Treb, my cat had the same idea. Also woke up with a bit of sore throat.

Maybe trotting out a box for the cat to play with during keyboard time.
