Anybody read "Space-time and beyond" by Torben and Wolf?

This book was written early 80's and a friend of mine gave it to me to read. The first half are cartoons by Torben, the second half explanatory text by Wolf. Just started it, but it seems like a typical book of that period (like the Tao of Physics by Capra). Find it rather fuzzy and confusing. Prefer books by Brian Greene, Steven Weinberg, etc.
    Anybody familiar with it?

Was this before or after Fred Alan Wolf went completely off-piste?

Must be after, because my friend who gave it to me is a bit looney.
