As shown in the attached annual calendar, 2019 begins with Mercury, Venus, the Moon and Jupiter visible in the morning sky, leading to a solar eclipse on 6 January. The partial lunar eclipse on 16 July is close to Jupiter and Saturn. A conjunction of Mars, Mercury and the Moon is visible in the evening sky from 4 July. An extended evening conjunction between Mercury and Venus lasts the whole of October.
