You're the man who turned me on to the Chocolate Drops, for which I am ever grateful. I love that song and the version with the Chieftons.

Wow, haven't heard that song in years (on this record - I used to volunteer with the organization Clearwater, an environmental group, for which this record was fund raiser). Bellowhead's is a great version.

Bellowhead were great (if somewhat given to spontaneous Morris Dancing on stage), unfortunately disbanded now but they are worth a listen.

That vid is from a BBC Christmas special featuring a number of folk acts a few years ago.

The Beautiful South - Loving Arms - Later With Jools Holland 1997

One of my favourites. Jacqui on top form. She could sing the phone book and I would listen

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z336nb5C4sk

and by contrast from the '2014 'comeback'.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHbliT3cckY

Jacqui left the 'South' at the end of the 90s and didn't sing in public again until Paul persuaded her to sing at an Arts Festival with him.
This led to a whole new album of songs and a tour mixing the new stuff with old 'South' songs.
Second album is out now and they have toured just about none stop since 2014. I have my tickets for their next visit to Teesside and a ticket for the Dalby Forest Festival in the summer where they will appear with Billy Bragg.
