That actually makes sense. "They'll never expect me to hide here."

I'm not sure if this person qualifies as a criminal because they have not been arrested, but...

People used a snowday in Kentucky to build a 9 foot snow man. For whatever reason, they used a tree stump as the base and covered it with snow. Some Grinch tried to run it over in a truck. Didn't work because of the tree stump.

I saw that on CNN this morning. The snowman makers said they built it around the tree stump for stability (it was a very large snowman).

Guy tries to rob a woman, who turns out to be a UFC fighter.

    CBS News

A man allegedly tried to steal a woman's cellphone over the weekend, but quickly learned that he chose the wrong person. UFC fighter Polyana Viana, who was waiting for an Uber outside her Rio de Janeiro apartment, reportedly punched and kicked him until police arrived to arrest him. UFC president Dana White tweeted the news with a picture of the bloodied man's face.
    Bad decision.

No so dumb, but weird. A woman breaks into homes to pet dogs and wash dishes. Apparently, we've done it all and have to invent new crime.

Let's remember that some crooks are dumb and some are much smarter. In the end most get apprehended, if the crime warrants enough interest for the officials.

Oh, boy. There is a live alligator in Texas with a knife protruding from its head. The authorities want to press charges on the person that did it. I can't help but think that perhaps the culprit is "hiding" inside the alligator.

Just trying to think of the mechanics of bending over to stab an alligator in the head...

No much bending needed if youíre in a Jon boat or similar low rider and a gator is near to hand. I can envision someone who snagged it while fishing and lost thought a knife to the head was a good means of dispatching it.

I'd hope so, but probably not. And the moron is probably whining to everyone in the saloon that the gator stole his knife.

That, or someone tried to make an impromptu spear to 'gig' the gator, and the knife was dislodged from the handle.
I don't know how many of you are familiar with them, but the first thought I had when I saw the photo—aside from being sad for the critter—was that it looks like it would make for a pretty good Dark Souls boss.

It remains to be seen if these two are dumb, but they are criminals.

Let's pull out the score sheet:
    Former Felon? Check.
    Stolen Car? Check.
    Rattlesnake? Check.
    Loaded Handgun? Check.
    Open Container of Whiskey? Check.
A bottle of powdered Uranium? Oh, yeah.

What the heck is going on?

I thought stuff like that only happened around here. But around it probably be like a boat captain gets caught with deer from deer island while getting stuck in salmon cage, and my BIL will probably have known the guy.

Kind of a bad weekend for accidents around the maritimes:
2 teenagers killed in the Miramichi, one male 17 and one 14 year old girl.
One person in Moncton on a motorbike, a few minutes before someone might of caught him on camera going thru an intersection as the light was turning red on the right hand side of the car.
Two men one in his sixties with a passenger 74 got into an accident in a field with an atv.
A person in an SUV tries a pass a transport truck outside of Moncton and had an accident.
A car ended up the living room of one person, alcohol might of been involved.
a cop car ran into a volunteer fire department truck.
and body was discovered about 10 km south of here in the river, police not given the name but there has been a search for a missing woman for the last 5-6 days.

This is bit of a joke. My BIL knew the guy who tried to get the wiring substation and got fried. He is also a tug boat captain for a aqua culture company and has seen some boats with flat bottoms get in the cages. There is a deer island where live and there are a lot of deer running around.
