If photos are in, then I offer my friendīs photo. This was our first picture together after our wedding.

We paid, I donīt know how much, for professional photos and all of our pictures from the church to the reception donīt have us together. My friend busts out a point and shoot camera and kills it. Recently, I had just his pictures printed as a book to replace our old wedding album. There are less than 20 from him and they are hands down better than all the others.

A very sweet portrait indeed. Some people just have the touch.

My daughter and I were hanging out at the water park today. She wanted me to show her how to draw girly robots. Kevin Siembieda is an author and artist of the Rifts series of games, so I pulled an idea from him: "Glitter Girl Power Armor". I dropped my only pencil while working and had no sharpener. The lines are really uneven, but I'll use a lightboard to transfer it to better paper and ink it.

I like to draw Iron Man. Did I share that already? I can't remember.

Thanks! I am giving this marker thing another try. I am going back to all of these images, using better source images and redoing them in pencil. Then I will scan them and make a bunch of copies so I can get the feel of markers. First cheap paper, then I will go back and use real marker paper once I have the hang of it. I'll probably have to resort to a lightboard to get the image on good paper.

Has anyone ever tried this? I know people hate to say: "Gee, I ah, traced it", but how do get the feel without copying something that looks correct?

Here is a scan of the next generation of the Glitter Girl armor, in very light pencil. Slightly different pose. Stiffer legs, looser arms, back straightened.

This is Durdle Dor and the reason the sky is like that is that this was what it looked like the day I painted it. !

Ballpoint pen and a pencil with no eraser. Not sure what I think of it.
