Continued wet, warm, and muggy here in Va as well as the majority of the east coast. The past few days we've been on the lucky side of the heaviest of rains getting 1/2 inch here while just a few miles away and all around there's flooding conditions with several inches. Locked into this wet/stormy pattern for weeks now but may get a break in a few days.

about 30 C at noon probably get hotter. The next couple of days are showers and scattered showers.

Sunny and again about 30 C on the thermometer today, got a couple hours wood split so far. the annoying thing is there a breeze but it is coming from the north and house is blocking the breeze.

Still oppressively humid here but the rain has stopped, over us at least, it's still popping up in deluges just a few miles away. Heat index over 100F.

Another hot and humid day here, I don't think I am even going to touch the wood splitter, might do little in the garden. Last night there was nice light show up in the clouds and a thunder and lightening storm in Fredericton that knocked out power to some. Suppose to get some rain tonight and tomorrow.

    Ok. Global check.

Who is not in drought conditions?

Europe is and even Australia is despite being in winter.

another cloudless hot day here in Norfolk UK. Night too, but just a hint of promised rain temporarily and thunderstorms forecast. Floods now a risk after every dry period, the land does not immediately soak up the rain. Not technically in drought thanks to a wet winter. Not unusual for August but the long dry spell is unusual.

The drought is very bad on the other side of Australia. Luckily, for us we have had a pretty reasonable winter on the west coast.

Just a few minutes ago we had a couple of hail showers plus very strong winds. It is about 10 C at present, 16:30, very chilly and wet.

Wish it would make up its mind, this morning looked like it was going rain, then cleared for a few minutes. I took a book out and then clouded over again.
This is what looks like in the garden normally there would be a lot of potato plants but they didn't do so well this year.

Acceptable August weather here today, mid 80's, tolerable humidity, with a sweet breeze and party cloudy skies.

Another day of 30 C + weather, yesterday the forecast for today was for rain I don't think it is coming. Looks like a lot over the weekend. Today I am taking a break from being broiled alive outdoors as much as I can.

Everything was still soaking wet this morning, tried the wood splitter it is suppose to have been fixed but it didn't go. Tried for the first time to get weed eater going it won't start. Only thing that will start today is the lawn mower.

Back to the sauna conditions here for the past two daze. Somewhat cooler (mid 80's) and stormy is predicted for the next several days. The Atlantic is still quiet, stay asleep please.

A nice mild sunny breezy day, and one thing I chose to do was a move wood from one side of the wood shed to the other.
