Too dang warm, for us in the PNW. And predicted to get warmer. I just came in from my catapult work and am sitting in front of the computer because it's next to the air conditioner.

A chilly day here. After a couple of weeks of showers we got beautiful clear blue skies today but it dropped to 4.2C (40F) and reached a maximum of 15.1C (60F)

Humid! We had overnight rain. Humidity is at 86% - that's intense for this desert clime. Temp 71 F. Clouds breaking apart. Humidity should quickly drop in a few hours; we "dry out" fast.

Hot and smokey. The latter is due to multiple wildfires in the region. Quite a spectacular sunset last night. Supposed to be cooler tomorrow. That's a good thing.

We got a nice non-violent 2.5" of rain over night. We were behind on rain by 3" so that helped close the gap without flooding the area or washing away the garden, hardly had any puddles as the ground soaked it up good. Temps will remain normal too in the 80's for several days ahead. It's back to mowing the lawn soon.

The weather is ... smoky. It is 4:34 pm local time and the smoke is so thick and dark that the street lights have come on. I'm really wishing for heavy rain.

I can't get over how dark it is while the sun is well above the horizon. The term "nuclear winter" comes to mind.

In the morning it was cloudy and we got some showers over night. Early in the afternoon it cleared up so I went out and pulled few weeds and the checked the blackberries and there were a few. mostly ate them, then some dark clouds were getting closer and I thought I heard thunder so headed back in. No real storm came so went back out and moved the wood splitter and split some wood for a couple of hours. After bit of a nap went out because the sky is so clear tonight then after a couple of minutes of course the coyotes would start howling, then I made Usain Bolt impersonation on my way back into the house.

    Dodging a hurricane??

It's mostly sunny here, 81 F, humidity 49% ("high" for here), no rain in the forecast (in midst of our "rainy season").

Last evening we had big beautiful thunderheads to the SE. Lighting bolts inside the clouds.
