About 100 km away there is a lot flooding in Saint John and Fredericton along the saint river valley. It has gotte so bad the there is a point where the river flows into the Bay of Fundy it looks like the falls are reversing, they are not doing that anymore.

I had a look at that CBC link. The floods look very nasty. And, I see that the Trans Canadian Highway may be blocked for a week or so. We thought that area was lovely when we drove through it a couple of years ago - even with the heavy rain we had around Sussex,Alma and Cape Enrage. I hope that the floods stay away from your families houses..

While we are up in the hills but the local river is high as well but the next the few days is sun that will help. Today in fact not a cloud in the sky, today I will be be in a ridge with my name on it and point out into the river. Here are a couple pictures of our river a couple of days ago.

Nice mild weather persists here, 60 - 80F range. It's getting a bit on the dry side as recent rains have passed us by.

Perfectly clear night, went out for about 40 mins heard something on the other side of the road probably nothing but came in just in case. I have great night vision but I am sightly near sighted in one eye and sightly far sighted in the other,

It was a very warm late autumn day here yesterday - 32.7 C (91F). Second hottest day ever recorded for May. My grandson had his 2nd Birthday party yesterday so it was very good for the kids and their friends as they ran, scootered, triked etc around their backyard - the only problem was convincing them to put on sunscreen.

    Today is a much milder 25 C (77F).

THE weather here has been beautiful for the last few weeks and the foreseeable future - around 9 C to 25 C with blue skies and light winds. The problem is that it should be raining. We have only had 6.2 mm of rain until the 18th and the monthly average for May is 116.9 mm. Since a one day storm in January we have about 30 mm of rain instead of the about 130 mm we average.

Lots of rain here too, 4" over 4 days and more to come. Areas nearby got inches more. We were a bit dry so needed rain but that's enough for now thanks. Was planning to go to a food festival today but I don't trust the parking lot which is an open field, not good.

Another sunny day, should go out and move what is left of that tree.

Up to 7 inches of rain now with more on the way, I think we're getting England's share.

Likewise here. It has been like the monsoon for several days now. During a lull this afternoon I shoveled my driveway and walkways. I kid you not. Clearing the soggy accumulation of dogwood and tulip poplar blossoms was like shoveling snow, with the same tool.
