I'm very well sure that at least some of you are familiar with these videos, but I could not help resisting keeping them to myself:

A Glorious Dawn (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_WK_yBBVdA)
The Unbroken Thread (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOLAGYmUQV0)
We Are All Connected (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGK84Poeynk)
Our Place in the Cosmos (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vioZf4TjoUI) -- (gave me goose bumps)

It's just so fascinating. The amazing thing is, in a few billion years, there will be a galaxy rise in our skies. Imagine waking up one morning only to look at the sky with over 400 billion suns in it! How ridiculous a sight would that be?

Erhm, you already have that (give or take a factor 3 or so) with the milky way.
It's not like its going to get crowded or anything.

I realize that, but the fact that you're looking at a whole other galaxy covering the majority of your sky and staring back at you with an awesome amount of stars within it is just too much. :)
