Nice series. Looks like about April 13 UT for the Mars/M44 shot.

The dark street light is something I don't see very often. Was it just burned out or do they turn them off later at night? The first image shows a brightly lit ground so was the light on when that was taken then turned off?

I was a supervisor at a public observatory in a city park on the edge of town. We have a switch that turns off the street lights in the area but that's very rare so the dark light caught my eye.

Thanks.i think the pics were taken in mid april cant recall the exact date.
the first pic was taken behind a gas station.the area had some light pollution cause of the station lights.so i got behind the car and took the pic.that explains the shadow of the car.nah i dident turned on or off any light.actually i couldnt even see the dogs.it was only after i got home that i found that i wasnt the only stargazer present there.lol
the second pic where the lamp is off was taken on a service lane which is not a part of the main motorway but connects it to a maintainance yard where they park bulldozers and some other heavy machinery.all the lights on this particular service lane were off.

Nice photos. I didn't notice the dog at all in the first picture until you mentioned it in your post to RickJ.

Shh! On any other forum, this would be "proof" that you had captured photos of ghost dogs. ;)

But I really like these pictures, good job!

Hey neelam, these are good captures of the skies. So clear. Lovely. You did good with the wide-angle lens. Any more?

About the 'off' street light, that Mr J points out...I didn't notice that it was off...just assuming the norm in that part of the world, the sub-continent, and that the regular power cuts are some times a boon, astronomically speaking.

Thanks for sharing your goodies.

The 'dogs'! Oh gosh, you were lucky to be left alone. Looks like there were at least twelve in that group! May be it was your charm! You being so friendly and all. I know a feral dog or two, having had brief encounters with them; pretty frightening... that growling and the baring of teeth...yikes...I prefer the domesticated kind.

@Fazor
thanks.lol actually it was pretty dark and my whole attention was towards the sky so maybe thats why i couldnt see the ghost dogs stargazing.
