View Full Version : A new wild theory: Voyager spaceships hijacked by aliens!

2010-May-17, 05:42 PM

A German researcher believes those sounds may come from aliens.

However, the glitch has prompted speculation. German researcher Hartwig Hausdorf has chalked up the problem to aliens. To be specific, he posits that the Voyager 2 was hijacked by aliens.

What the?

Could somebody check the credentials of this guy? Is he really a researcher, or just another angstrom-like "researcher" like Hoagland?

Google says he's a German crank who has written book(s) about "Chinese pyramids" and Ancient Astronauts. You could have done the Google search yourself. :)

You can try running this through Google Translate:

ET is just reprogramming Voyager to request more Chuck Berry.

Even the article eludes (by putting 2 and 2 together) to what he "researches".

Hausdorf is a prolific writer who specializes in extraterrestrials.

Then there's this little sidenote in the article.

Bild writer Attila Albert speculated that the Golden Record might have attracted the aliens.
From his translated page (http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://www.attilaalbert.com/&ei=Z4rxS6a4I4OC8gbiutT9Cg&sa=X&oi=translate&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CAoQ7gEwAA&prev=/search%3Fq%3DAttila%2BAlbert%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG).

On BILD.de I write about mystery Topics: UFOs, Aliens, 2012 and the supernatural, accessible via the short address mystery.bild.de

So; a tiny little record on a probe attracts the aliens, but a solar system with terrestrial planets in various zones, and one pumping out non-natural radio signals does not?

There is already a thread on this in the Life in Space forum (http://www.bautforum.com/showthread.php/104049-Voyager-2-quot-hijacked-quot). It is sort of a toss up as to whether to have the discussion in CT or LiS, given no BAUT member is advocating the idea. Given that the LiS thread came first, and the lack of an advocate, I'm closing this thread and will direct people over to that thread.
