I can't say I've ever really been a fan of OK Go's music. Until I saw their music videos. I realize that may not make much sense but their particular brand of geeky video making is something you should see, I think.

This is "Here It Goes"

Here is "This Too Shall Pass" (BRILLIANT!!!!!)

I'm not going to link the rest as they are so easy to find... but those should give you a good idea. I miss good music videos.

My daughter showed me their latest video last night, incredible mixture of low/high speed camera work, and geese: http://www.okgo.net/2010/06/15/end-love-video-premiere/

The marching band version is just as good, I think. I just watched the latest video and its pretty neat. They have a nice upbeat, summer-song feel to everything.

They have a nice upbeat, summer-song feel to everything. The ultimate rock/sf/love song: Invincible (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mItuZ8i4wH8): "When they finally come to destroy the earth, they'll have to go through you first. I bet they won't be expecting that. ... Gonna decimate them like you did to me? Will you leave them stunned and stuttering?"

I love this band. FYI, they one of the first bands to springboard off of the YouTube craze. They got on early (2006 maybe?)

I'm glad to see this band succeed. Damian Kulash and Tim Nordwind were campers at the summer camp where I worked back in the 80s and 90s.

I honestly thought this would be some 3-dimensional form of the Go game. That sounds pretty geeky.

Not geeky enough. Watch it at NASA: What on Earth: Performance Art, Rock Music Reach Engineering Nirvana in OK Go Video (http://wiki.nasa.gov/cm/blog/whatonearth/posts/post_1275422073165.html)

And learn of the NASA-employee involvement.

What do NASA techies do with their spare time? They make rock-n-roll videos. Not the big-hair, booty-shaking, smoke-and-fire kind. They help make rock videos that would make their daytime colleagues proud or jealous, or both.
