Pardon if this has been done, my search-fu may be weak.

I'm trying to find a good speculative image of what our sky would look like if Andromeda was close enough to dominate the night-time sky. Anything close would help, I need it for a talk on primitive development of religions.

Thanks in advance for any help.

How about this?
Article about a NatGeo show (http://sciencedude.ocregister.com/2010/10/28/tv-takes-a-cosmic-trip-with-uci-scientist/113630/)

Sweet. Is that accurate as to orientation? I was actually hoping for something that would look like a cosmic eye staring at us.

Or go to wally Patcholka's web site: http://astropics.com/
and search for Andromeda.

Wally has several pics that show the Andromeda as it is today, clearly visible among the Milky Way stars
