Talking of physics in movies, has anyone see the film The Men who stare at 'Goats' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LS-jutv-rh0).

They really think a 'person' can go through walls!!!!! - Are they mad?

I hope you enjoy the film..... very 'educational'.

Light in, Light out.

Remote viewing, mind control, walking through walls . . . none of the things in the movie are based on reality. But it's not really a documentary; movies don't have to be realistic. They're movies.

That said, I didn't think it was a particularly good movie.

Give me another couple of months, tops, and I'll let you know. I'm almost there!

I've read the book, and as far as I can tell it is all based on stories told by real veterans of the various paranormal research programs sponsored by the US and others in the second half of the 20th century.

However nothing very useful came out of that research, except possibly some very unreliable psychological warfare concepts. Certainly no-one managed to walk through walls or kill goats by staring at them.

I haven't seen the film, and it sounds as if they warped the material to such a degree that Jon Ronson's interesting data was completely lost.

Although, rather annoying, it was based on a serious (factual) book about that "research".

It was more of a dark comedy than a documentary. I thought it had a few funny spots.
