I'm not sure whether this thread is the right one for this post about an article in Spanish in El Pais (http://www.elpais.com/articulo/sociedad/Bases/quimicas/vida/llegan/meteoritos/elpepusoc/20110809elpepusoc_8/Tes). It is a report which claims that the chemical basis of life began in meteorites. Nothing new there, but this article reports on an article published in the National Academy of Sciences which claims that they have evidence that organic material found in meteorites is not due to contamination. I can't find the original article in English. Would anybody like to comment?
