This pancam shot (http://qt.exploratorium.edu/mars/spirit/pancam/2004-05-12/2P137280237EFF4300P2567R1M1.JPG) from a position near the Columbia Hills sure looks reminiscent of some of the Meridiani photos. Maybe the blueberries are eroding from the outcrops on the hills?

I thought exactly the same thing 2 weeks ago, and posted the exact same title, but no one must have cared.

I am glad someone thinks the same thing.

I see grains in both images. These are not neccessarily the same as the blueberries at Meridiani. The image posted a few weeks ago was of grains much smaller, for example.

Me too, I don't see round "blueberries" in the first image. Looks like sand or dust grains.

I need some scale here. :D And more background. I think the tlbs image looks like blueberries but I can't tell what 'microscopic' means. And, if it is a question of hematite, perhaps there is other data that would be useful to know.
