View Full Version : For John T: Evidence of black holes

2004-May-15, 11:48 PM
This finding (http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2001/ast12jan_1.htm) is the most convincing evidence I've personally come across. Does anyone else have other good ones?

This (http://hubblesite.org/newscenter/newsdesk/archive/releases/2001/03/text/), too.

Thank you ToSeek for starting a more appropriate thread. It seems my original thread has two separate subject matters running in parallel.

Anyway, here's my contribution.

John T has been banned. But this thread is worth having anyway. I will probably write up a "What is the evidence for black holes?" as part of the FAQ, when I write it.

I made a huge error; I banned John T by mistake. He has been re-instated.

Wasn't JohnT the one who called us idiots?

No, just that we're full of 'derision' and wearing horse blinkers.

I think this (http://www.eso.org/outreach/press-rel/pr-2002/pr-17-02.html) is a pretty good piece of evidence for a supermassive black hole in the center of Milky Way.
