View Full Version : SETI & Spectral Type

Just over on /. reading about SETI@Home's anniversary, and something hit me. Has anyone correlated SETI's candidate signals with the host star's spectral type? You'd think a random sampling of 2600 stars would show a spread based on stellar population, but if the candidate set favours G stars that would be very interesting, indeed.

Of course, I don't think that SETI releases RA&Dec for candidate signals, but maybe someone here has some contacts?

Pretty sure the the SETI targets are restricted to late F to early M.
