In case you haven't heard, IMAX has released a new space movie. This time it is about the Space Station. I've seen it. Quite impressive.

Yes I tend to agree: It's quite cool.

The most impressive of all is most certainly the CG at the beginning, seeing it from first person is very cool.

Have I used cool too much?

I went to see this today. It just opened in Galveston's Moody Gardens. WOW! If this film doesn't get people exited about space and space travel, nothing will. Its very impressive, and I encourage you all to find an IMAX that's playing it and "drag" you're family to it /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif (fortunately my family are already science enthusiasits, so no arm twisiting needed to take them)

The film is in 3D, using the polarized glasses/projectors method. I've never seen a 3D movie like this before and was skeptical on how believable the three-dimensional-ness would be. All doubts were put to rest, these guys did a fantastic job. And yes, the opening first person perspective scene is amazing. It left me as breathless as a certain blockade-runner followed by a star destroyer once did.

Few nit-picks about wording ("up here, without gravity...", etc), and space station module identification, but nothing to detract from this beautiful film. Too bad its not really the kind of film I'll be able to add to my own collection, unless I have some serious money laing around to build myself my own IMAX theater.
