I will be observing this weekend in skies that are maybe mag 5 to 5.5. It seems that this supernova is around mag 10.3 or so. How well will my viewing be with a 6" (and possibly an 8") reflector?

From what I've read, a 6 or 8 inch scope should be able to pull the 'nova in assuming a clear, dark sky. However, a much bigger issue is that the moon is nearly full. That will make viewing most DSO's (Deep Sky Objects) problematic.
