According to a Sky and Telescope emailing, the Bo÷tid meteor shower was (possibly) going to revive this year with meteors visible sometime between June 22nd and the 26th. Of course, we had weather in the low 90's and clear skies....until the morning of the 21st when it became (and stayed so far) cloudy. Has anyone had any sightings yet? The S&T article is at http://tinyurl.com/26762

Thompson said he saw some, in the thread Don't forget your Bo÷tids (http://www.badastronomy.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=14481). Two peaks were predicted, one last Wednesday morning, the other next Saturday night.

It wasn't very nice here. Although I do have some amount of light pollution in whatever direction I turn. I'm going camping this weekend, and there will be no light pollution at all. As long as the clouds stay out, they should be awesome there.

It looks like dgruss23 and newguy fireballs saw something, they say in this thread (http://www.badastronomy.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=14594). Lucky dogs.

As I noted in that thread it was only because of my dog! :D I'll be getting him a special treat next time I get to the grocery store.
