I just picked up a wedge for a Celestron 8I and I just want to be sure I'm setting this up right. If I know this is what it is supposed to look like then the rest should be easy, but the setup instructions are a little bit lacking in detail.

Tell me if I got it right (http://home.insightbb.com/~trebob/DCP_0004.JPG)

Thanks.

I don't much about telescopes, but when I zoomed into your pic I noticed that your unit was built for customers in Europe where the voltage is different.
DO NOT TURN IT ON YET!

You have to plug it into a 600 volt power supply or it will blow up.

Trust me I am an electrician.

Just kidding!

Nice looking setup though. I would recommend opening the curtains so you could see more distant objects.

Looks good! You need to set the wedge angle for your latitude, level the tripod and point the polar axis at the north celestial pole (near Polaris).
