Which came up in another forum. Somebody was doing 3D modeling and the question came up,

"Do heavily freckled people have freckles on the palms of their hands and the soles of their feet?"

The only person to say yes (emphatically) was one poster who says his wife is thusly pigmented, but we wanted more positives than that.

(It doesn't look right.)

The only person to say yes (emphatically) was one poster who says his wife is thusly pigmented...

That may be a problem. Fortunately, it appears to be rare.

Twenty cases of neurofibromatosis (15 females and 5 males) were studied... Twelve cases (60%) showed palmar freckles. Seven cases (35%) showed freckles over the soles in addition to palmar freckles.... presence of palmar freckles could be considered as an important clinical sign of neurofibromatosis. - source (http://www.ijdvl.com/article.asp?issn=0378-6323;year=1995;volume=61;issue=1;spage=11;epage=15 ;aulast=Premalatha)

Neurofibromatosis does not sound too good.

Wow. A google of "palmar freckles" (palmar freckles, palmar freckles) showed 90,000 results, often they start with "Palmer freckles are very unusual..." or something similar.
