View Full Version : I love this: "Experts" 95% sure bigfoot exists

Lack of evidence notwithstanding: http://blog.seattlepi.com/thebigblog/2011/10/11/experts-in-russia-95-percent-sure-bigfoot-exists/

Translation: We're 95% sure we need more tourism dollars here, and this is the best we could come up with...

I was going to post this in 'against the mainstream' but I have no intention of backing up any 'bigfoot exists' claims whatsoever.

I would like to know from the 'believers' though is:
1) If you've 'seen a bigfoot', or better yet 'you see them everyday' (read the last line in the link) then I'm sure it would be easy to simply gather a hair, droppings, etc. for the purposes of DNA evidence.
2) With all the folks proclaiming themselves 'bigfoot hunters', you'd think someone would've found a dead one for analysis, i.e. an official autopsy.

I know I know, 'the government' is covering all that up...

Let's see the evidence! And by that I don't mean shaky video, fake footprints, or 'eyewitness testimony'.

I think the usual excuse is that Bigfoot (Bigfeet? Bigfoots?) are intelligent and experts at concealing evidence of themselves and/or perform ritualistic burials that hide the bodies from view.

Considering humans, the obviously higher intelligence since we haven't been enslaved by creatures bigger and stronger than us, can't successfully hide bodies of people we murder with anywhere even close to a 100% success rate . . . I don't buy that claim.

I do always get tickled by people calling them experts in something that has never been proven to exist. If I declare myself an expert in something real even though I'm not, I'm arrested for fraud. If I make something up and appoint myself expert, I get a show on Discovery. Go figure.

Nice! I used that in the comment section of the blog posting...hope you don't mind!

You'd think the psychics would have told them there's no such thing as bigfoot.

For what it's worth, I'm more likely to believe in beavcoons.

You should send that to The Onion. I could see a headline like that on their page.

I had issues with a rodent cross breeding with a carnivoran.

On the other hand H. erectus survived in Asia for millenia longer than was first supposed.

That was because they had discovered a natural source of Viagra.

After four thousand years they had to call an evolutionary biologist.

Actually, that was no "guy' in the gorilla suit at all.

The slowed down enhanced footage of the famous film shows that the black furred creature looking at the cameraman had hooters the size of your head! Hence the monicker "Bettie the Yeti".

A few months back, there was some chap racing about the world, looking for Bigfoot, or his cousin the Yeti, or his other brother The Abominable snowman.... I cant imagine what compelled me to give the show any time, but watch it I did.

At one point, while in the U.S., he is talking to a elderly Native American lady, who solemnly intones, "The reason they are never seen is simple. They are shapeshifters. That deer you see now, or rabbit, or owl, could have been Bigfoot just a minute ago. They will never let you see them in their real forms." :shifty:

Yeah... I got nothing.
