I have a basic working force field written in Matlab, but I don't really have the physics knowhow to to develop it any further. If anyone is familiar with functional programming and vector calculus, linear algebra, etc, I think it could make a good project.

Force field of what? This reminds me of a project our physics classes did last year in electricity and magnetism.

It's just a general force field. I can add any number of forces and field configurations, and any number of particles in any configuration, with symmetries or randomly. I can also adjust scale, frame rate and and viewing angle manually or as functions of the field itself, along with rate of change of anything I've already mentioned. I'd say its pretty adaptable at this point.

I should add that I'm running it on a pc right now, though I may have access to parallel computing soon.
