It kind of looks like the rusted border of a buried metal box. Of course, I'm probably betrayed by my subconscious desire to find something artificial. I get very excited with these pictures from Mars.

I know the possibilities of finding signs of intelligent activity are very remote. But if even they find just something like lichen or even the Martian equivalent of bacteria, it will be enough to make me immensely happy.

They're so obviously plate bones from the back of a dinosaur. Finally, proof that the dinosaurs didn't die on Earth, but were rather transported to Mars, where they thrived for millions of years! Only the last couple of hundred have seen them die out, and now their bones are covered by a light dusting of Martian soil.

I'm going to be rich and famous with this one!
