SOPA is a pending legislation in the US that could block sites like Universe Today from being seen. There is more detail about in this thread (http://www.bautforum.com/showthread.php/127248-Wikipedia-blackout).

Many internet sites went dark to protest the proposed law. Universe Today is one of them. Wikipedia is another. It will be back tomorrow.

Indeed but why don't they protest against the internet censorship imposed by Google?!!!!

Folks,

Let's be careful with this topic. The SOPA legislation is probably not an acceptable topic for BAUT; it is political and does not meet our no-politics exceptions. Please confine the discussion to noting that this is why UT is down today and technical aspects.

I'm not sure what Google sensorship Graham2001 is referring to, but it sounds off topic for this thread. If you wish to discuss this, please start a new thread in an appropriate part of BAUT.
