View Full Version : FTL neutrinos - faulty hardware, as expected?

2012-Feb-23, 12:32 AM

This morning on my iPad Flipbook, the Science section had some briefs that the 60 nanoseconds observed that neutrinos were supposedly arriving "too fast" has now been traced to a fault in the connector of a fibre-optic cable.

I'd link them here, but my iPad 3G connection is still blocked for BAUT access. :(

Strangely, neither here, not on some other science blogs I frequent (Not Even Wrong, ViXra, etc) has there been any mention of this, so I'm wondering if the media got something wrong?

It's been mentioned on Universe today, referenced on BAUT: http://www.bautforum.com/showthread.php/128806-Faster-Than-Light-More-Like-Faulty-Wiring.

Topic being discussed here: http://www.bautforum.com/showthread.php/121344-Speed-of-light-exceeded

(I'll close this thread so the discussion continues over there.)
