In an editorial describing the chances of winning the new Mega Millions lottery, there is this quote: For the multistate Big Game, the odds were 1 in 76.2 million. Mega Millions boosts that to 1 in 135.1 million. How many \$1 bets can you place in a light year?

We hit the 'jackpot' with this one. Not only is there bad astronomy, but bad mathematics, also. 'Odds' should be written as 76.2:1. Probability is written as 1 in 76.2.

And wouldn't the Mega Millions decrease the odds rather than boost them?
