Obviously it makes sense not to disturb these artifacts, but it does raise the question as to what right one nation has to determine the rights on other nations on the moon. What is the current state of ownership of the moon's surface?

Well, I'd like to see statures of Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins atop the LEM stump left behind--using it as a dais.
