This isn't really BA, but I found an article about a robot "rest home" near Spokane, Washington, that includes (among many others) models of robots from some of our favourite space movies (Robbie the Robot and C-3PO & R2D2, f'rinstance). Quick: how many of you can name the correct name for the Lost in Space robot without checking this article (http://www.abcnews.go.com/sections/scitech/TechTV/techtv_robomuseum020528.html) first?

Just "Robot" is it not?

According to the article--and I have no reason to doubt it, but I don't recall myself--its official name was the B-9 Environmental Robot.

I remember hearing some time ago that it had a name in the development material of the series but the only “name” ever broadcast was Robot.

Wrong Series, Wrong Country!
