Should we start a new discussion topic for the planned CosmoQuest educational offerings?

I've got some ideas on course flow I'd like to share and would prefer not to post in the wrong area.

I think you should just go ahead. If it turns out to be in the wrong area, we can easily move the thread. :)

Okay great. For starters, those on the edu team, what models are being considered for the course content?

Meaning, do we want to follow a standard roadmap of 101 content being the Sun and Solar System, and 102 content being galaxies, nebulae, etc.?

Secondly, how far up the ladder do we want to go? Just 100 level, or all the way into grad-level courses?

dearastronomer - would there then be a dedicated, online class style course, or would it be a bunch of one off videos, like 60 symbols (http://www.sixtysymbols.com/) or vi hart (http://vihart.com/)?

I'm still waiting for "formal" acceptance onto the team, so I'm trying to not be "too" pushy. I do, however, want to get ideas flowing in the meantime.

What I'd like to see is an online course style. Meaning there'd be something like 32 videos of about half an hour long, or say 16 hour long videos.
I understand the issues in trying to develop that much content (from a production, delivery and logistical standpoint).

Part of me prefers a larger amount of shorter videos, to make things easier to digest.

One other issue is how to test, will we do just instructional videos or will there be web-based quizzes/asessments as well?
