View Full Version : Penultimate fluff thread - Futurama characters

Since we already have the ULTIMATE fluff thread, this can be PENultimate at best - but I want to try anyway. Let's name all "Futurama" characters - considerably easier than all "Simpsons" characters.

Good guess if letters are repeated and you add an "e" and drop the "i", but, nope. A hint, it involves her entire name.

Not to rain on the parade, but penultimate is the event before the ultimate, and final, event, not the one after. In fact, describing something as ultimate implies that no successor is possible. OK, brief showers over. Resume listing.

That is why I listed Nixon's Head because when his head got possession of a huge robot/Waldo, Nixon's head said something like no one is going to stop Dick nowww---as he started to destroy the city.

Yeah...and it was 'SUPPOSSED' to be the FINAL Fantasy 1, but there have been what? 11 maybe 12? Which one is really the FINAL one?

And what about 'The Neverending Story'? Seemed like only an hour and a half to me.

And then it had a sequel? Called 'The Neverending Story 2', not 'The Neverending Story Continued.'

Oh and by the way, Zap Branagan

In a rather ironic turn of events, three news articles on the left column mention that the Nashville Symphony is going to be performing Turangalila.

LOL. I rather doubt it. The Nashville Symphony is actually QUITE good and so is their audience. Mind you, there might be a few idiots here and there who would expect something like that, but I've been to a few concerts and most of them are quite good. Actually, I'd venture a guess that a very large number, probably a majority, are season ticket holders.

Actually, the Symphony is building a new Symphony Center that is supposed to be one of the most acoustically advanced buildings in the entire world. I believe it's scheduled to be finished in a couple more years. I can't wait to go check it out when it's done.

Actually those parallel universe characters would [character name] 1.

How it was decided:

Leela: This is getting confusing. Why don't we call our universe "Universe A" and this universe "Universe B"?

Bender 1: Hey, why can't we be universe A?

Fry 1: Yeah!

Amy 1: Yeah!

Zoidberg 1: We want the best letter!

Fry: We called it first. Besides, this place kinda feels like a "B" y'know?

Leela 1: Alright, you can be crummy universe A. And we'll be universe 1!

Fry 1: Or "The Mongooses," that's a cool team name. The Fighting Mongooses!

That's actually Pazuzu, from the "Fifth Season" episode "Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles".

"Pazuzu", of course, has the same name as the chief demon in the Exorcist series, and might be the same fellow, given his propensity for well-aimed excretory functions, etc.
