Is the tag "(archival)" under the Do Science tab meant to suggest that no new images are pending for Ice Investigators?

As of right now, we're waiting to receive more data for all of you to be able to go through. Until that time, we've placed it under the "archival" title since there's nothing a user can do with that project until we receive that new data.

That's actually a fantastic "problem" for us to be having. You all have been doing a marvelous job going through the Ice Investigators and have completed all of the data we've had so far! While you're waiting for new Ice Investigators images to come in, please feel free to work on the Moon Mappers (http://cosmoquest.org/mappers/moon/), Asteroid Mappers (http://cosmoquest.org/mappers/vesta/) and the new Mercury Mappers (http://cosmoquest.org/mappers/mercury/) projects!

Once we have new Ice Investigators data to unleash upon all of you, rest assured that there will be an announcement!

Best,

I was just thinking after the see the "archival" tag, but thanks for clarification KnowTheCosmos :)

Speaking of Asteroid Mappers my stats right now says: "Total images completed: 989 / Shigeru's images: 941", this last week my free time was almost zero with my university test so I was expecting a bigger difference by now. There is little movement or there some error in the stats?

Oh when we get more images available, I'll make announcements on it as well as a cosmoquest blog post. Thank you for your eagerness to participate in this citizen science project.

Why [all?] images are still 'not yet reviewed'?

The images of II-X-27398 (http://cosmoquest.org/iceinvestigators/gallery/index.php?markID=II-X-27398.png&markImageID=334458) and some other candidates are missing now - could it be cured so the images are accessible as it was before?

Best regards!

I think you are confused. This forum topic is about a citizen science project that identifies icy bodies in the outer solar system. It has nothing directly to do with counter-proliferation or homeland security.

Indeed, thanks CJSF. A clear explanation :)
