Can space radiation really trigger Alzheimer's disease in astronauts? My brother was so devastated when he read this news from here (http://personalmoneynetwork.com/moneyblog/2013/01/04/space-radiation-alzheimers/). He is a fan of living in Mars and he has told me that if a manned Mars mission were seeking volunteers, he would be the first in line. He perfectly knows that this Mars mission would mean of never coming back and he accepted this fact. I wouldn't want him to go and my desire to keep him Earthbound is even more intense after checking out this new study. My reasons to keep him from his want is now reasonable and life saving as well.
