Here (http://spaceweather.com/gallery/indiv_upload.php?upload_id=77458) is a shot taken from Tenerife, way above the clouds. I live lower down, and am thwarted by low cloud in the west, which hardly ever happens.

I've been hoping to see it from New York, but yesterday was cloudy and today is worse.
