This announcement on a Lunar Surface Geology Workshop for Middle School Teachers (June 17-21) is just in from the CosmoQuest team:

"Join astronomers and educators from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) and CosmoQuest to learn how your students can conduct authentic astronomy research! You'll help astronomers map the Moon's surface using the MoonMappers citizen science project and data from the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO), plus get practical ideas from experienced teachers on how to bring citizen science into your classroom and meet science standards--including the NGSS. Activities from CosmoQuest's new TerraLuna unit will be featured. Free materials, stipend, and CPDUs provided; optional graduate course credit from SIUE available. Space is limited. Contact Georgia Bracey at gbracey@siue.edu for application information. Workshop location: Edwardsville, IL area."

And of course feel free to pass this along to anyone who may be interested!
