Jealous? Here in Sweden we have already abandoned further observations for this observation season. Time for the maintenance, error searching and upgrade season...

Mainly we are cleaning/painting buildings, redoing some cabling, maybe installing some counter weights for opening one of the cupolas, building three piers for some of our more active members and making sure the Newton has a functioning filter wheel (the original filter wheel has developed mechanical problems and the one a member loaned us on has software or USB communication problems when connected to this, but not other, telescopes).

So far we have installed a mast with a pair of WLAN antennas for the local wireless network, a directional 3G antenna for internet access and a GPS antenna for our local NTP server (gives accurate time for occultations) and culled quite a few obscuring trees. You probably spend more money per year than our entire club does, we can't even afford a flattener for the RC or a suitable CCD camera (so far we are using an ATIK 110000 - another loan)...

Truth be known, I spend more time cutting down trees in a day than you guys do in a lifetime! (My job). :D
