Hi everyone,

First of all, I'm new to this forum so if I haven't put this thread in the right section of the forum please forgive me.

Secondly, to save you time from reading, I will jump straight to the topic. I want to be an astronaut. Yes that's right. I love space and I want to be an astronaut some day, like Chris Hadfield perhaps. I want to solve all the mysteries of the universe. But since I'm not from America, it saddens me to know that the chance of me becoming an astronaut is close to 0.

However, as soon as I heard Axe Apollo has given an opportunity for astronaut wannabe's to be in space, I couldn't help but sign up immediately. So to win the competition, I need your votes :(. So if you vote for me, it would mean a lot to me. Or if you don't vote but have read what I have written so far, to know this is very important to me, that's just lovely too :). Thank you, thank you so much.

So here is the link. You can vote in just 5 seconds by clicking the blue button above my name and enter your email. If you have any questions please comment.

To those who want to enter the contest, please feel free to sign up. Everyone has the right to become an astronaut. I will vote for you and you can choose to return the favour too. I might see you in space who knows?

So that's all I have to say. Thank you everyone. Thanks for your time. I really appreciate it. May I wish your day is filled with rainbows and happiness :)

You're not going to do that by just winning a popularity contest.

I'd comment further, but since the site is not in English it's hard to tell what's going on besides publicity for the product.

It's a contest being held by the Axe deodorant company promising a trip to space to the winner that's been going on for a few months-- I'm surprised you hadn't heard of it, it's been discussed a lot on other space sites. They launched it with some rather sexist ads during the Super Bowl that were withdrawn after extensive protests.

My mind tends to block promotional stuff. So maybe I've seen it and it didn't really register to me.

Again; mental promotional (and hype) blocking in play.

So; I looked it up. Still not impressed.

Not that the winners wouldn't be in complete bliss wining such a thing. But; not impressed because it's all things that are commercially available (or at least soon) and they are hyping it up without really explaining it.

The hype, that's the big thing. Maybe I'm just tired of hype trying to tie astronauts and spaceflight to a suborbital hop. Exciting? absolutely. But; I just don't think it will lead the participants into bigger things.

Besides; I get this nagging feeling that this thread is spam. Even if the OP is genuine, the page is another email grab.
