View Full Version : IC 1848 the Soul nebula

Here is IC 1848 the Soul nebula, an emission nebula in Cassiopeia ~7,500 light years from Earth. This was imaged November 8 and 9, 2012 from Ocala, Florida using a cooled CCD camera (QSI 683ws), an Orion 80mm EON refractor with a focal length of 480mm and a Losmandy G-11 equatorial mount.
RGB: 1 hour Red, 1 hour Green and 1 hour 18 min Blue (binned 1x1)
Ha: 2 hour 15 min (binned 1x1).
Subs were stacked using DeepSkyStacker and processed in Photoshop CS5.
