For the Winter Solstice?

World peace with justice for all, and the extermination of flambeaus.

For Hanukkah?

World peace with justice for all, and the extermination of flambeaus.

For xmas?

World peace with justice for all, and the extermination of flambeaus.

For every day of the year?

World peace with justice for all, and the extermination of flambeaus.

Actually the former can't happen without the latter.

1. for everyone to base their lives on, as I believe Bertrand Russell said, knowledge and love.
2. a lease on a new C6 Corvette.
3. a girlfriend I had some 13 years ago.
4. my depression to go away.

I may actually get one of these - that'll probably have to do!

They balance that out here in the States by having Christmas in July sales.

Shouldn't the order be reversed? 8)

Well, Normandy, my two front teeth are material objects. :D (No on has said that one yet?)

Hmm, I'll have to mention to my sister that a car dealership is celebrating her birthday. 8-[

I celebrate Newtonmas instead... however... anyone perplexed by how to squander large amounts of disposable income is more than welcome to throw a rig like this (http://www.rcopticalsystems.com/12inchtruss.html) my way. :D

Happiness and the health to enjoy it with.
An REU for next summer and a decent GPA- the Christmas present I give myself, or at least the latter.
Oh, and an iPod is what I told my 'rents when they asked (my bro and sis got them two years ago). I wouldn't mind one of those either.

You might be able to burn your retina with a 50 mW laser, but not much else. Unless you blinded the pilot, you couldn't crash airplanes either. I'd love a green laser pointer too, but right now I have other priorities. I just discovered ebay and it's ski season. =D> =D>

What will you do with the laser?

Flash it at boy racers and watch them flip when they think they've been caught by a speed camera?

How would that work? pointing a laser up into a clear sky will show very little if any beam, to see the beam you need smoke or fog to reflect it back ... so you wouldn't see the constelations. (or am I missing something?)
( I use my little red laser mainly to drive the cat wild! graet fun! :D :D )

They work..... You can easly see a beem from a 5MW green laser it relects of the dust in the atmosphere with a 20MW you can see the little dot on the bottem of some low clouds a 50mw or a 200mw, should work fine :D :P . This is a 5MW (http://www.meridiantelescopes.com/detlaser.htm)[/i]

I think a 5MW laser might be capable of a bit of damage and 20MW could possibly blow your local power grid. :o 5mW on the other hand ....

I'll have a decent golf swing if anyone has one..... In the absence of that a set of reasonable clubs and some lessons probably wouldn't go amiss.

Oh and btw I got a green laser pointer last xmas from my brother (thank you !!) and it is superb for pointing out the constellations to my less astronomically knowledgable friends.
